After being honorably discharged, while still in Oakland, CA, Skip met and became an outstanding, respected and well-known member of the HAMC [believed to be Hell’s Angels Motorcycle Club] for 23 years.
He began his life’s work helping disabled veterans and became state commander of the Disabled American Veterans. It was during this time in his life that also brought him to NA and AA, for which he was known for helping numerous people find their path in life. Being a roughly 20-year member, he was also influential in starting the spiritual warriors program. Clifford Park Workman was known by his family and friends as Skip.

Another brother, Robert Ludlow, was aboard the Constitution when it took the historic surrender of the Guerriere, August 12, 1812.4
