     Most recently the Langford family has been expanded by a discovery by genetic testing of a 3rd cousin of mine. William Langford of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. We share a common G-G-grandfather William Thurman Langford. He was genetically connected to a Langford descendant in Virginia. I have expanded the Langford branches to include him and to take the Langfords back to the emigration of Edward Langforf to the colonies.
Uncle Charles Donnell’s assertion of the family lore that brothers Asa and Jonathan Langford deserted the British Army was incorrect. First, there was no Asa.
Several generations of Langfords shared Albemarle County, Virginia with the likes of Thomas Jefferson who was born there and built Monticello there. The city of Charlottesville is the county seat.
