     Nimrod Benton Langford was born on 13 October 1843 in Benton, Missouri, USA.1 He married Mary Ann Rhea, daughter of Jordan Lorenzo Rhea and Elizabeth Jane Massey, on 26 November 1868 in Benton, Missouri, USA.2 Nimrod Benton Langford died on 13 January 1902 in Fleetwood, Jefferson, Oklahoma, USA, at age 58.3 He was buried at Terral Cemetery in Terral, Jefferson, Oklahoma, USA.3
     Nimrod was a farmer and a school teacher. He was known for performing complex math using no paper and pencil. He was also Postmaster in Dell Delight, Missouri. He enlisted in the Missouri Militia in 1861 and was discharged a year later with his horse. He must have also served in the Union forces as he left a pension for Mary. He and the family left Missouri in the fall of 1888 going to Ellis County, Texas, to Tarrant County, near Mansfield, Tx. This is now modern day Euless, Texas. From there the family moved to Indian territory in 1892.3

He married Maria Katherina Daub on 16 March 1834 in Roedgen, Germany.1 Johann Henrich Knipp married Henrietta Koelsch in 1847 in Roedgen, Obersdorf, Siegen, Westfalen, Preussen, Germany.2 Johann Henrich Knipp died on 9 January 1881 at Germany at age 71.1,3
     Heinrich Knipp is the father of Heinrich (Henry) Knipp, the progenitor of the Texas Knipps below. Henry is, apparently, the only one of this family who emigrated, and did so under apparently strained circumstances, as he asks his brother Jacob to apologize to his father for him.1 In a letter to the family of Henry Knipp (108), b 1842, from his godson and nephew Adolph Heinrich Knipp, dated 14 December 1904, Adolph Heinrich discusses the living descendants of Heinrich (1825) of a second marriage. These include (Anglicized in the translation) William, Adolfine, Gustav, August, and Robert. In a later letter, Adolf Heinrich stated that Johann and Henrietta had eight children all of whom were dead by 1950. There is one missing.
