     In the book "The Donnells" [not yet found by this researcher, but referenced in "The Donnells and their Macdonald Ancestors, A History and Genealogy, 157 to 1927 A. D." by Ema and John A Donnell], Samuel received some religious training and then moved from Virginia to Pennsylvania and eventually to near Paris, Kentucky.1 Samuel Donnell and Hannah Quiett lived settled on the farm he had purchased on Taylor’s creek, above and adjoining that of his brother Thomas. His nine children were born there.1 His extensive family is documented in "The Donnells and their Macdonald Ancestors".1

The date of the separation of John Calvin from his first wife Margaret Hancock and his marriage to Martha are not clear.3 Martha Safrona Witherspoon died on 15 February 1897 in Hickory, Missouri, USA, at age 86.2 She was buried at the Dickerson-Donnell Cemetery in Cross Timbers, Hickory, Missouri, USA.2
     Martha Safrona Witherspoon was also known as Safronia, Sophronia. After her husband's death, and the theft of her grain by Federal Soldiers, she took five children and moved to Springfield to be closer to her brothers. After the end of the war, she returned to Hickory County.
She then traded her property for land owned by Norville Dickenson, her son-in-law, in Benton County, Missouri.
Her daughters married two of Norville's sons. Her sons married Langford daughters. This will keep genealogists who rely on genetic testing confused.4

The Langford group came [to Missouri] in 1837 and the Mitcheners, Dickensons and Blacks in 1838. In his group were his two sons, Nimrod, 29 years of age and married; William Thurman a young fellow 17 years of age; three daughters married and two of whom came with their father. Sidney who married William Cardwell and Elizabeth who married William Shaver, as well as Cardwell and Shaver were with him. Then. Mildred (Thurman) Langford had two brothers with them, Elisha and Thomas Thurman.6
Jordon & Mildred Langford, ages 70 & 60 owned a farm in Fristoe, Benton County, Missouri. Their land was valued at $240. He self-farmed to support them.
They lived on a farm adjacent to Mildred's brother, Elisha Thurman, and his wife, Margaret. Mildred and Jordan's son, William & his wife, Sarah L., ages 29 & 23, lived on the other side of Elisha's farm.
