     John Wilkinson was born on 25 January 1678 at Loquiessett in Providence, Rhode Island, USA.¹ He married Mary (?) in Hunterdon, New Jersey, USA.¹ John Wilkinson died before 23 April 1751.
     After time in New Jersey, in 1728 he returned to Providence, Rhode Island after which he returned to Bucks County, Pennsylvania.²

     Mary (?) married John Wilkinson, son of Captain Samuel Wilkinson and Plain Wickenden, in Hunterdon, New Jersey, USA.¹

     Captain Samuel Wilkinson was born in 1650. He married Plain Wickenden, daughter of Reverend William Wickenden.¹ Captain Samuel Wilkinson died on 27 August 1727 at age 77 years.
     He was commissioned a Captain in the provincial militia in 1697 and took part in the early Indian Wars.

     Lieutenant Lawrence Wilkinson was born circa 1615 in Lancaster, Durham, England. He married Susannah Smith, daughter of Christopher Smith. Lieutenant Lawrence Wilkinson died on 9 May 1692.¹
     Lawrence Wilkinson served as a lieutenant in the Royalist army supporting King Charles I during the English Civil War. He was captured by Parliamentary and Scottish forces at the surrender of Newcastle-on-Tyne on 22 October 1644, and his estates were subsequently sequestered by order of Parliament between 1645 and 1647. Durham County records from this period identify him as "Lawrence Wilkinson, Officer in Arms" with the notation "Went to New England." He obtained special permission from Lord Fairfax, chief commander of the Parliamentary army, to emigrate with his wife and child to New England, reportedly departing in 1652.² He and Susannah Smith had five children in addition to Samuel (Susannah, John, Joanna, Josias, and another Susannah) as identified in the reference.³ Upon arrival in Providence, Rhode Island, he received fellowship status and a land grant; his first recorded appearance in colonial records occurs in the First Book of Records, page 87, and the Second Old Book with brass clasps, pages 30-31, where he signed a compact among the colony's founders on the 19th day of the 11th month, 1645.
In Providence, Wilkinson was a Captain in the Indian Wars, where he was severely wounded in one encounter with Indigenous forces. The Rhode Island General Assembly voted him a pension in recognition of his service and injuries.
He was a member of colonial assembly which met at Portsmouth in 1659.^4,1

     Mr. Alexander served as county clerk of Hall County for 20 years and later served four years as county judge.¹
