     Daniel D Trexler was born on 29 November 1842 in Reading, Pennsylvania, USA.² He married Agnes A Geiss, daughter of Samuel Geiss and Agnes Dundore, circa 1871. Daniel D Trexler died on 24 March 1914 at age 71.² He was buried at Saint Thomas Cemetery in Bernville, Berks, Pennsylvania, USA.²
     He served as pastor of four Lutheran Churches in the vicinity of Bernville, Pennyslvania.
He was the father of three ministers: Martin Luther, Samuel Geiss, and Charles Daniel.
Rev. Trexler farmed to supplement his income. He was a skilled horseman and his pure-bred horses were famous throughout the county.^3,2

     Charles Daniel Trexler Jr was born on 25 April 1912 in Brooklyn, New York, USA; Could be 25 May 1912. He died on 20 February 2002 at age 89.² He was buried at Green-Wood Cemetery in Brooklyn, New York, USA.²
     Charles Daniel Trexler Jr Mr. Trexler attended Brooklyn's Poly Prep and then Princeton University where he graduated, cum laude, in 1935.
He spent the next five years in professional theater as a stage manager and actor, working with many notables including Ethel Barrymore, Jose Ferrer, Elissa Landi and Jimmy Stewart.
A member of the New York National Guard's 101st Cavalry, he enlisted in the US Army in 1941 as a private and was discharged in 1945 as a Lieutenant Colonel. He was awarded the Bronze Star for his work associated with the Operation Torch invasion of North Africa and the D-Day Invasion of Normandy. In recognition of his work as a Chief of Special Services in France he was awarded the Medaille de la Reconnaissance Française by General de Gaulle.
After the war, he entered the Lutheran Seminary at Philadelphia from which he received his Bachelor of Divinity degree in 1949. That same year he was granted a Master of Arts degree from Middlebury College, Vermont. He was ordained on June 15, 1949 at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, Buffalo. Following ordination he became pastor of the Church of the Good Shepherd in Long Island, a parish he served from its inception to his retirement in 1989.
In 1979, Wagner College conferred upon him the Doctor of Divinity degree. Following his retirement, Pastor Trexler resided in Manhattan remaining active, serving as supply preacher and celebrant to several churches in the city. He celebrated his 50th anniversary in the Holy Ministry on June 15, 1999 at Grace & St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Manhattan.
Pastor Trexler served as Chaplain to the Roosevelt Fire Department, on the Board of Advisors of the Nassau County Cerebral Palsy Association and as Chaplain to the Sons of the Revolution of the State of New York. He also served on numerous synodical and national church boards, including the Board of Directors of the Lutheran Theological Seminary at Philadelphia; president of the Long Island Conference of the New York Synod; the editorial board of Una Sancta magazine; the Inter-Lutheran Commission on Worship; the Joint Committee for Lutheran Unity, and chairman of the Worship Committee of the Lutheran Church in America.      Ruth Christine Trexler was born on 22 July 1916 in Brooklyn, New York, USA.² She married Roderick William Errol Kerr, son of Errol Kerr, on 12 September 1953 at Lutheran Churchhouse in New York, USA.      Ruth Christine Trexler was the manager of religious and educational programs for the American Broadcasting Company network.⁴

     Roderick William Errol Kerr was born on 27 January 1913. He married Ruth Christine Trexler, daughter of Charles Daniel Trexler and Christine Henrietta Siefke, on 12 September 1953 at Lutheran Churchhouse in New York, USA. Roderick William Errol Kerr died on 1 September 1995 at age 82.¹ He was buried at Green-Wood Cemetery in Brooklyn, New York, USA.¹
     Roderick served as president of the American Dock Company, Inc., a subsidiary of Gulf States Land and Industries, Inc.¹

     Herman Siefke was born on 1 August 1816 in Vorbruch, Hanover, Germany.¹ He married Adaline Catharina Mangels, daughter of John Mangels, circa 1850.² Herman Siefke died on 13 January 1896 at age 79.¹ He was buried on 16 January 1896 at Green-Wood Cemetery in Brooklyn, New York, USA.      Herman Siefke was also known as Hermann. In 1835, Herman Siefke and Frederick Siefke were in the wreck of the Orpheus with brother Henry off of the coast of Port au Prince, Haiti. They were cast ashore - they found employment and became friends of Burgher Jan, Dutch (or German) Consul who in 1837 arranged for them to go to New York via Savannah - he provided letter of reference to John Jacob Astor.²

     Adaline Catharina Mangels was born on 10 June 1825 in Hipstedt, Rotenburg, Niedersachsen, Germany.² She married Herman Siefke, son of Herman Siefke and Christina Wenken, circa 1850.³ Adaline Catharina Mangels died on 6 January 1901 at age 75.¹ She was buried on 9 January 1901 at Green-Wood Cemetery in Brooklyn, New York, USA.      The Mangels Family came from Kingdom of Hanover, amt Bremafare, Dorf Hipstedt, Germany.³

     Fritz Henrich Von Dohlen was born in 1827 in Germany.² He married Johanna Heins, daughter of Christopher Heins and Gesche Gesine Wohlers. Fritz Henrich Von Dohlen married Jane Ellen Behan circa 1858.³ Fritz Henrich Von Dohlen married Mary Lyle on 19 September 1871.⁴ Fritz Henrich Von Dohlen died on 24 January 1909 in Brooklyn, Kings, New York, USA.² He was buried at All Faiths Cemetery in Middle Village, Queens, New York, USA.²
     The von Dohlen Family came from Drankstedt, near Bremen, Germany.⁵ Fritz Henrich Von Dohlen was known by his family and friends as Frederick.

     Johanna Heins was born on 24 October 1829 in Germany. She married Fritz Henrich Von Dohlen, son of Johann Henrich Von Dohlen and Anna Jungjohann. Johanna Heins died on 20 April 1856 at age 26 of typhus fever. She was buried at Green-Wood Cemetery in Brooklyn, New York, USA.²

     Frederick Siefke was born on 15 November 1881. He died on 25 April 1957 in Brooklyn, New York, USA, at age 75. He was buried on 29 April 1957 at Green-Wood Cemetery in Brooklyn, New York, USA.²

     Adelaide Joan Siefke was born on 6 November 1883. She died on 4 August 1885 at age 1. She was buried on 6 August 1885 at Green-Wood Cemetery in Brooklyn, New York, USA.²

     George Hamilton Siefke was born on 8 August 1893. He died on 19 May 1905 at age 11. He was buried on 21 May 1905 at Green-Wood Cemetery in Brooklyn, New York, USA.²

     John Warren Siefke was born on 23 November 1895. He died on 24 April 1900 at age 4.²

     Agnes A Geiss was born on 14 November 1852 in Bernville, Pennsylvania, USA.¹ She married Daniel D Trexler, son of Daniel Trexler and Anna Dietrich, circa 1871. Agnes A Geiss died on 2 May 1934 in Bernville, Pennsylvania, USA, at age 81.¹ She was buried at Saint Thomas Cemetery in Bernville, Pennsylvania, USA.²
     She attended Pennsylvania Female College in Collegeville, Pennsylvania, USA.¹ All her life, she was active in church, missionary and charitable work. She was one of the oldest members of the Friedens Lutheran CHurch in Bernville.

She never recovered from severe burns she suffered when her clothes caught fire while she was trying to light an oil stove.¹

     Isabel Ford married James Young, son of James Young and Margaret Craik. Isabel Ford died in 1849.

     George Carl Fink was born on 25 April 1915 in Monroe, Monroe, Michigan, USA. He married Nancy Hope Reed, daughter of Samuel Kendrick Reed and Luela Emma Johnson, on 8 March 1938 in Angola, Indiana, USA. George Carl Fink died on 14 April 1996 in Brevard, Florida, USA, at age 80.
